Pre-Camp Training

There are three days of Pre-Camp Training at each location, where all staff participate in further training and review. A typical program employs the following staff:

Facilitator
SuperCamp Facilitators are chosen from among the top professional teachers and trainers in the country. Out of hundreds of applicants, only a handful are chosen to train with SuperCamp. Once chosen, they undergo extensive training in Quantum Learning methods. In addition to their prior experience, this amounts to over 300 hours of on-site training before a facilitator directs our programs. Although many of our facilitators have advanced degrees, more importantly, they have the ability to engage students and bring out their greatness.

Our Facilitators teach the academic and life skills curriculum, set the program's direction and tone, and provide inspiration and guidance.

Team Leader
Team Leaders are the catalysts for team building and personal growth at SuperCamp. This position includes being a mentor and role model to students. A team usually consists of two Team Leaders, plus up to 12 students. Exposure to powerful teaching methodologies makes the Team Leader position an excellent opportunity for education majors. Team Leaders also assist Facilitators in setting the environment that promotes Quantum Learning. Team Leaders lead activities, supervise students, facilitate team meetings, create camp spirit, and communicate with Logistics Manager with logistical aspects of camp.

Wellness Person
Since wellness is a top priority at SuperCamp, a Wellness Person is assigned to each program. Should sore throats, stomach aches or emergency situations arise, our medically-trained health and safety expert is always at hand. The Wellness Person must be responsible, caring, organized, and enjoy working with students.

The Wellness Person is responsible for the health maintenance and emergency care of both students and staff. Aspects include administering first aid and prescription medication, making sure students comply with physician's orders, setting up emergency procedures and maintaining medical supplies. The Wellness Person works closely with the Team Leader and keeps the staff informed on the status of students' health.

Logistic Manager
Logistics Manager helps to coordinate supplies to assure programs run flawlessly for optimal learning. Duties include the physical set-up and break down of camp, creation of Team Leader schedules, running of music, training of Team Leaders to complete logistical tasks, and support of office tasks.
